I am so excited to share this product with you guys! I barely ever wear make-up, but when I do, foundation is a very important part of my routine. I have always leaned more towards liquid foundations for full coverage. I have tried over twenty different foundations from drug store to name brand (Estee Lauder, Benefit, Maybelline, Too Faced, etc). I am thrilled that I cam across Makeup Revolution’s Conceal and Define Foundation.
All I can say is $12. ONLY $12. The packaging is so luxe looking. It looks perfect on my beauty counter. I absolutely love the rose gold. Not too good of a shade range in store at Ulta, but about 35 shades online at ulta. Click here. I also love that the website explains which foundation shade goes with which undertone. If there was a better shade range at Ulta, I would have gotten 12.2, but I just got 12 to try the foundation. When I am tan, I use 13. The foundation has a wand, which I love. Sometimes I overuse foundation when I try to pour it out, then it becomes a HUGE mess! This way I can put the wand directly on my face and then apply more as needed.
Makeup Revolution’s Conceal and Define formula is oil-free, vegan, and paraben-free. This product is also cruelty free! This foundation is definitely a dupe for Estee Lauder’s Double Wear formula, if not better and 30 bucks less. The formula is mattifying. I mix it with different luminous primers to make it more dewy.
How I Wear this Foundation
Underneath my foundation and concealer, I mix mac strobe cream, Cover fx Illuminating Primer and Becca’s Backlight Priming Filter Face. I love mixing these three because it preps my face with a glow while filling in pores. Next, I put my concealer on underneath the foundation (Thank you Scott Barnes). Then, I apply the foundation with a flat brush and use the beauty blender to help soak it into my skin. Lastly, I set the places where I crease the most. (Mouth and eye area).
When I wear make-up, it isnt usually for long. However, I have worn this for an 8-hour shopping day and the foundation wore really well. You cannot beat $12!
- Moisturize well before applying.
- Apply with beauty blender for medium coverage, or blush for full coverage.
- Mix with a different color foundation if you cannot find the perfect match.
- If this is too matte, mix with an oil based foundation.
